Kings of Leon @ the Gorge
Nick and I joined my parents for a Kings of Leon Concert at the Gorge. It was a great show, along with the show all the drunk kids were putting on for us. Oh to be young. I think I sort of missed most of that stage, thankfully!

La Push, Laaaa Push
We drove out to La Push after an amazing breakfast at The Forks Coffee Shop. We decided to go to Second Beach since grandma hadn't been to that beach. It was a little hike down to the beach, through thick, lush forest. It was really incredible. There are huge rocks out in the water with trees growing on top. The girls got sand all over them, of course. They had a ton of driftwood along the beach and a lot of people were camping. Here are some pics. They dont do it justice.

Our first day in Forks!
So we made it to Forks. There was a little bit of traffic through Tacoma, which definitely delayed our arrival, but we did make it and got to visit the local Dazzled By Twilight store (which the girls really liked), the local surf shop that was closing early once we left so they could go surfing, go figure. We then went to the Outfitters/Thriftway to buy some arm floates for the girls since I forgot ours. We enjoyed some really good pizza at Pacific Pizza and then hit the pool. It was luke warm water so mom and I watched as the girls swam and had a good time. I took some pictures of the girls with the new vampire teeth and them playing Guess Who with grandma. Good Times! Miss my hubby though.

Acosta Veggie Garden
I finally have an official vegetable garden. Nick helped me build and fill with dirt my raised beds. I planted a raspberry bush, sunflowers, corn, cabbage, beans, green onions and a lone tomato plant. I really dont expect to get much out of it, but it's very exciting nonetheless. Now that it looks like the weather is finally realizing it's summer, I think they'll start growing a little better. I'm a garden nerd!
Car ride
Some fun pics!
Here are a few fun pictures we've taken so far this summer. Vanna officially turned 5 and is learning to ride a bike. It's so nice to have the whole family go on bike rides together. It's a whole new adventure. We had a fun 4th of July. Uncle Mike put on an excellent firework show, as usual. I made a dessert that not only looked good but tasted good (very proud of myself). Cheers!
