Seahurst Park Field Trip

Yesterday, Mimi and I went on a field trip to Seahurst Park, in Burien, with her class. It's a beach that has a group of Marine Biologist who work there and they collect things from the ocean to study and do all the cool ocean stuff. We went during low tide so the kids could explore the fascinating creatures that get left behind when the water goes down. We saw a few star fish, including one huge one, along with a lot of crabs, alive and dead, and lots of other ocean critters. We had a really good time, minus the yucky weather. Mom

Rainy Day Readers!

I must admit Marissa has become quite the reader. Thanks to grandma Salli, who bought her the series of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, she's hardly come up for air. It's a very proud moment for a mom, and dad, when you're kid catches the reading bug. It also helps that she was a part of a Book Club for about a month at school and she really enjoyed it. Vanna has been reading a few books herself, Wheels on the Bus she pretty much has memorized! Proud Mom!

Playing Uno!

Im thankful to be home from work now, watching Nick and the girls play Uno. Fun family time! A few candles and some incense and I just cant help but relax. Time to kick back for the night! Night, night.

Free Day at Flight Museum!

So we took advantage of the free admission at the Flight Museum! They had a great exhibit on Amelia Earhart that wasn't there the last time we went. I added a photo for Dad, Mimi standing underneath the 747 engine. Pretty crazy!

A Star is Born!

I had to post a picture of Nate in his big acting debut as the infamous Wolf in the Three Little Piggies. Savanna and I joined Auntie Kristi and Gavin on Friday to see Nate play the Wolf in his kindergarten play. It was adorable and I wanted share some pics. Great Job Nate!

Entering the Blog Zone

Welcome to the Acosta Family Bloggey Blog!
I've been trying to find a way to keep in touch with family and friends more regularly, and thought this may be a fun way to do it. I know our life isn't the most exciting thing around, but so what! I just want to share with everyone what the girls latest achievements are, something funny they said, or just some great pictures. Like everyone has told me (and vis versa) "they grow up so fast," and with how often my memory disappoints me, this is my way of sharing these precious moments before they get lost. Bare with me, I'm still trying to figure out all the little quirks of this new (to me) blogging thing. I hope you enjoy it! The photos are from our first family hike of the year. We went to Twin Falls, near North Bend. It was beautiful. Unfortunately it began pouring down rain the moment we got to the falls, but the girls were troopers and kept going.
