Graduating Preschool!
Savanna is a graduate! Preschool has been a great experience for her. She made some friends and got a jump start to her education. Now it's off to Kindergarten, yikes!

Seahurst Park Field Trip
Yesterday, Mimi and I went on a field trip to Seahurst Park, in Burien, with her class. It's a beach that has a group of Marine Biologist who work there and they collect things from the ocean to study and do all the cool ocean stuff. We went during low tide so the kids could explore the fascinating creatures that get left behind when the water goes down. We saw a few star fish, including one huge one, along with a lot of crabs, alive and dead, and lots of other ocean critters. We had a really good time, minus the yucky weather.

Rainy Day Readers!
I must admit Marissa has become quite the reader. Thanks to grandma Salli, who bought her the series of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, she's hardly come up for air. It's a very proud moment for a mom, and dad, when you're kid catches the reading bug. It also helps that she was a part of a Book Club for about a month at school and she really enjoyed it. Vanna has been reading a few books herself, Wheels on the Bus she pretty much has memorized!

Entering the Blog Zone
Welcome to the Acosta Family Bloggey Blog!
I've been trying to find a way to keep in touch with family and friends more regularly, and thought this may be a fun way to do it. I know our life isn't the most exciting thing around, but so what! I just want to share with everyone what the girls latest achievements are, something funny they said, or just some great pictures. Like everyone has told me (and vis versa) "they grow up so fast," and with how often my memory disappoints me, this is my way of sharing these precious moments before they get lost. Bare with me, I'm still trying to figure out all the little quirks of this new (to me) blogging thing. I hope you enjoy it! The photos are from our first family hike of the year. We went to Twin Falls, near North Bend. It was beautiful. Unfortunately it began pouring down rain the moment we got to the falls, but the girls were troopers and kept going.
